COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Mo. — Authorities are actively investigating a fatal double shooting that took place late Thursday night in Country Club Hills, resulting in the deaths of two men.
According to officials, police officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 10:25 p.m. on April 9, 2026, in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Despite emergency response efforts, both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. They have been identified as Alex Taylor and Ogee Meeski.
At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody, and authorities have not released details regarding a possible motive.
The Country Club Hills Police Department has requested assistance from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons, which has assumed primary responsibility for leading the investigation.
